On the 16th of November, KIBC held its Bowling Tournament at the Kapitolijus Bowling Club. It was a fun and social experience for all to enjoy! Everyone shared a good time socializing and had the opportunity to have a beer and kepta duona. Although not everyone bowled strikes like our night’s champions Alan and Sergiu, we all enjoyed competing against each other and had a good time together!
If you were unable to attend, we hope to see you at our next event!
KIBC Members and Friends enjoyed our monthly networking meeting this past Thursday, October 19, 2017. We received a presentation by Simas Simanauskas and Stasys Karbauskas of the Klaipeda Economic Development Agency. They enlightened us about the 2030 economic development strategy for Klaipėda city, we discussed the issues investors face in Klaipėda, and the needs of the current and future workforce.
Following the presentations our members and the presenters enjoyed a time of networking and socialization downstairs at the Radisson Blu’s restaurant.
KIBC members attended the German Unification Celebration organized by Vokietuva Association on October 3rd, 2017 in Klaipeda Concert Hall.
Our dear member Mr. Manfred Wagener welcomed us with a great speech that was followed by a concert by choir “Cantare” and a presentation by Mrs. Ruth Leiserowitz.
Afterwards, we enjoyed an “Octoberfest” themed celebration with traditional German food and Volfas Engelman beer.
August 26th dawned clear and warm, Perfect for canoeing in Rusne!
Members and families of the Klaipeda International Business Club, asosiacija, met in Rusne for a fun filled day of canoeing with our families and even a Labrador named Leonidas! The weather was Perfect. We all met at a Member’s home, enjoyed a small snack and played with our children as we prepared for our Canoeing Adventure. A short walk (maybe 50 meters) to the canoes, then we loaded up and cast off. First stop was a few kilometers to a well-appointed coffee shop where we enjoyed coffee and tea as the children, Leo and some of us ran around chasing and playing with each other. The second half of our trip was spent restfully canoeing back enjoying the sights, laughing and engaging in brief events of sport and frolic.
After we beached the canoes, we changed clothes and walked through Rusne to a wonderful restaurant by the river. The views, the food and the company were simply – EXCELLENT!! Fun was had by all.
The Members of KIBC appreciate the opportunity to share our day with our families and friends. Everyone had a wonderful experience and look forward to many more occasions of comradery and shared good times in the future!
